Founder

Wali Rahmani is the founder of Umeed Academy. He is a 23 years old activist and currently a final year law student. He has studied from the best of schools in the country. He has done his schooling at St. James, Kolkata, and his higher secondary from Genesis Global School, Noida. He has visited the best of schools across the country for interschool debates and public speaking and is also a national level gold medalist in turn coat debate held at Singapore International School Mumbai.

Wali Rahmani is also a noted motivational speaker and social media influencer with more than a million followers. He is also the youngest Indian TV debate panelist and has appeared in various national television debates. He says that his work for society is not social work rather his social duty, he also firmly believes that one should not aspire to be a leader rather one should work towards achieving the qualities of a leader. He believes that leaders are not born they are made. Leadership is not just a position rather it is a process and a journey. He also believes that academics is just a drop in the ocean of education, the rest is Tarbiyat (upbringing/character building).

He has been awarded the young social Hero award in 2019 at the south India NGO conference, also has been featured as one of the young top 20 achievers in India under the age of 20 by Mumbai coworking. His works have been acknowledged by India times, Brut India, The Telegraph and the Indian Express.
